Portholes evolved through my love for the ocean.
Layers of translucent colour merge into glossy water scenes. These invite the viewer to peer through my custom-made porthole frame edges into the magical mysterious underwater world. Though my experimental use of oils & mixed media I have been able to obtain unique shiny translucent layers - wonderful for water effects!
